College Co-op – Cash Application Analyst (MJ)
About the Department:
The Cash Application team is responsible for accurately applying both premium and non-premium payments, including the reconciliation of all funds received. This function is essential to maintaining financial integrity and supporting the broader goals of the Finance Division.
Co-op Job Description:
The co-op will support the Cash Application team through a combination of recurring responsibilities and ad-hoc projects. Tasks may be deadline-driven or require same-day completion. A key assignment will involve conducting trend analysis to help reduce unnecessary inquiries, culminating in a presentation of findings and recommendations to business partners.
Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Processing and reconciling payments
Supporting daily operations and generating reports
Conducting research and analysis on payment trends
Preparing and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders
Collaborating with team members and cross-functional partners
Required Skills and Qualifications

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Accepted Majors:
Accounting – Directly relevant to cash application, reconciliation, and financial reporting
Finance – Strong foundation in financial systems, reconciliation, and payment processing
Business
Business Administration – Must have a concentration in Finance or Accounting
Management Information Systems (MIS) – Must understand financial systems and data analysis
Economics – Analytical skills and understanding of financial flows and trends
Operations Management – Relevant for process improvement and workflow optimization
Classification:
·Junior
·Senior
·Recent Graduate within one year or less of the programs start date
GPA Requirement:
·3.1 or higher
