Job Description

Rohde & Schwarz USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager in our Hillsboro, OR location to provide strategic direction, coordination, managing and developing the product portfolio, within our RF Plasma Generation business unit. Top applicants will possess strong product management experience in entrepreneurial environments, a demonstrated ability to communicate and inspire across teams and functions in an international environment, technical and entrepreneurial gravitas, and experience managing products and vendors through the entire product lifecycle.

Your tasks

  • Responsible for RF Plasma Generation solution portfolio and related service globally in the Semiconductor domain and beyond in close cooperation with Business Unit functions and R&D.
  • Responsible for product and pricing strategies as well as the go-to-market approach for our solutions that outline scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets, while monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary.
  • Present the solution portfolio to customers, conduct sales training, support our sales team during the proposal process, and assist system engineering in implementing solutions for our customers.
  • Contribute to business plan development and communicate customer progress, challenges, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels, fostering transparency, and ensuring alignment and support.
  • Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, customer and competitor changes to maintain the company's competitive edge.
  • Maximize the impact of investments by developing and executing strategic plans and roadmaps that drive innovation and growth.
  • Design and manage marketing campaigns overseeing market communications, including the creation of high-quality marketing materials.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential risks and challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate customer success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure R&D activities comply with aligned delivery milestones, quality, cost, and schedule, including the proper documentation.
  • Support analysis of current market and competitive conditions, derive system and portfolio strategies, create roadmaps and system requirements, and prioritize development activities in alignment with the Business Unit functions and R&D teams.

Your qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in engineering, systems engineering or relevant technical degree.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in Product management, or sales of Semiconductor production solutions internationally and possessing in-depth knowledge of customer requirements for sophisticated solutions.
  • Expertise in strategically managing entire product lines and adapting systems to meet market requirements and working directly with customers and R&D engineers.
  • Experience in a matrix organization and strong communication skills within and across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to make decisions under uncertainty, communicating them clearly, and acting with a solution-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 25% and can easily adapt to cultural differences.
  • Ability to structure and prioritize tasks effectively and derive product and solutions portfolio strategy.
  • Detail oriented, analytical and highly organized.
  • Proven experience working in international teams and bring the flexibility to work across different time zones.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry and an established network is a plus.
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have valid work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $148K-$210K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
