Barback

Key Responsibilities

• Restock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, and other bar supplies throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area (e.g., wiping surfaces, washing glassware, taking out trash).
• Refill ice bins, garnish stations, napkins, straws, and other necessary supplies.
• Assist bartenders with basic prep tasks like cutting fruit or mixing simple ingredients.
• Retrieve kegs or bottles from storage and change out empty ones as needed.
• Collect and clean used glassware and dishes quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist in closing and cleaning the bar at the end of shifts.
• Occasionally help serve customers during peak hours under bartender supervision.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certification or willing to obtain one
• TABC certification or willing to obtain one
