We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist PRN like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Phlebotomist at our facility you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing. In this role: + You will collect blood samples and body fluids from patients for laboratory testing including blood cultures and arterial samples for blood gas analysis. + You will register specimens and orders tests in LIS and prepare/label samples for internal or external testing. + You will communicate lab test requests and results to appropriate staff, departments, and/or physicians. + You will collect and document urine drug screens requiring chain of custody and breath alcohol when required. + You will assist with in-services or training as assigned. + You will assist with administrative duties within the laboratory. Qualifications: + Phlebotomy Certification required. + One year of phlebotomy experience or equivalent phlebotomy training program. + Excellent communication/people skills and problem solving skills. + Computer skills and filing/clerical skills. + High attention to detail and accuracy. + American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. + Valid driver's license.
