As a **Security Officer - Distribution Screening Specialist** in **Indianapolis, IN** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting thorough screening procedures and monitoring assigned areas. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will engage with individuals in a professional manner, delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the values of teamwork, integrity, and care that define Allied Universal.

**What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Screen individuals, packages, and/or cargo entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as required by site procedures. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
+ Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or activity to the appropriate personnel.
+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
+ Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to support the overall security-related objectives of the site.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
+ X-ray screening experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
